The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity is thrilled to announce that John Amaechi OBE will present a keynote address on Day 2 of the upcoming joint conference with Quest NBS, 20-21 February 2018.
John Amaechi is a psychologist, New York Times best-selling author and former NBA basketball player. In addition to running his own international strategic performance consultancy, Amaechi Performance Systems, based in London and New York, John is also a Research Fellow at the University of East London. He was awarded an OBE for work in the voluntary sector in 2011.
His presentation’s theme is “understanding people” – tailoring recruitment and retention policies and cultures to get and keep the best staff and lower costs. John’s firm belief is that an engaged and diverse staff team offers a deeper understanding of the communities we serve, drives innovative solutions to workplace challenges and creates a strong pool of ideas and inspiration.
Speaking about the announcement, Tara Dillon, CIMSPA CEO said: “I’m hugely excited to be welcoming John Amaechi to our event programme – he’s a world-class speaker who always connects brilliantly with audiences, providing real inspiration for creating and nurturing empathetic, people-centred workplace cultures.”
Delegate fees for Day 2 start at just £85+VAT, with a bundle ticket for both event days just £200+VAT – including evening reception ticket (normally £40+VAT).
